Grimaldi's Pizzeria

Was recommended to this pizza joint by a colleague, who mentioned that this was a great pizza place - but had a stupidly long wait line... This place was located in Brooklyn, so that would be an adventure - to cross the water over the brooklyn bridge!

Upon arriving - our worst fears were there... a long queue!! To my surprise, the queue was really only waiting for the store to open, as opposed to being full. Guess that's the advantage of arriving early =)

Grimaldi's Pizzeria
The entrance to the place... nice and small brick entrance...

The packed inside... was much larger than anticipated - but still not that big. The walls were lined up with lots of old-school photos, and even had signatures of some famous stars including Frank Sinatra.

Root Beer!!
What I've normally knew as Sars... good ole Root Beer!! =)
Also to my fascination of soda, Cream(ing) Soda isn't red!

Coal fired pizza... where you get to pick your own toppings.

It's a thin base, with plenty of cheese. Just watching the mozzarella cheese melt over the pieces...
Definitely the best pizza I've had to date here (not that I've had many). Sizing is always an issue (with everything being over-sized). Smart thing to pick a small serving (regular) =)
