Max Brenner

Another chain that exists back home, but this is different... an average one hour wait for a place here must mean something. Given that it's the only store in nyc - quite a popular place.

Max Brenner
Max Brenner - Chocolate by The Bald Man. Never actually new it had a slogan like that... but once inside, yes... the chocolate smell was overwhelming and great =)

I had come here for a dinner - not something I'd normally do back home, but this place actually did serve non-dessert food as well.

Max Brenner Shop
During the wait for the table, there's a little shop at the front of the store to make you more hungry. Different chocolates, and of course... the hug mug! The hug mug has always been pretty cute, and given that it's not for sale back home... might be something to pick up before going back!!

Max Brenner - Drinks & Sweets
A separate menu just for drinks and sweets!! Of course most of the people here were just for dessert... I did have a burger, but nothing to write home about. Probably the worst thing was to order a main - which meant it would be hard to have any dessert.

80's Milkshake
As enticing as a hot chocolate is - at a chocolate place - I've always preferred cold drinks. Even in colder weather, I was still up for a cold milkshake. What I did notice different was that these were served in different mugs. Although it was advertised as "Alice" mugs, these didn't actually have "Alice" or "Drink Me" written over it like I remember. Instead, a cute little cartoon... and a METAL straw... yes METAL!!. Totally did not expect this and the first little light bite - wasn't good. But the chocolate covered ice-cream... YUM

Chocolate Pizza
A dessert that's more than sufficient as a main... chocolate pizza. With marshmallows all over...

Next time - will definitely only be having a drink and dessert... definitely too many choices here (compared to what I'm used to). Have been told to go back for the s'mores and fondue... just thinking about it - I want some now!
