De Luca Cucina & Bar

Arrived in cambridge a lot later than planned. Being hungry meant that we'd go and try the first semi-decent place that we can find?

De Luca Cucina & Bar
The layout looked quite nice and made it appear more classy than it really was

Spicy Italian Meatballs Tossed with Linguine
Settled with the daily special of spicy italian meatballs tossed with linguine and napoli sauce. Presentation looked ok, but the taste was... just way too bland. It appeared that the other pastas all used the same base too and weren't much better.

Vanilla Panna Cotta with Winter Fruit Compote
Dessert looked much better. The vanilla panna cotta with winter fruit compote was made out quite nice. Looks and taste, doing significantly better than the main, and a better way to end the meal.

Affogato Al Caffe
The affogato al caffe. Hot espresso and amaretto over vanilla ice cream. At least it was vanilla bean ice cream =) However couldn't actually taste any amaretto... Caffeine hit for the day.

Fairly disappointing for what I thought looked like a nice place. The dessert still doesn't make up for the main course.
