Fritland

Another thing not to miss in brussels is their frites! What makes their frites so special in belgium? It starts with bintje potatoes which are then double fried. Deep fried once, allowed to cool... and then deep fried again.

Fritland
With only a little shop front, it was still packed the whole time. Guess the locals can't get enough of it either.

Frites
And the famous frites! Doesn't look anything special, but you can sure taste the difference.

Mitraillette and Carrero
The mitraillette and carrero. The mitraillette literally translates to submachine gun. This is a smaller version of a baguette filled with fried meat and frites! I don't remember exactly what the carrero was (I had the luxury of just sitting back while my friend ordered), but it was some more deep fried goodness of meat. And just another little random note, the can's are only 330ml.

I'm sure this isn't the only place you can find this, but anywhere you go... it's something not to miss!
