Hawkers

Hawkers, a term coming from malaysia and singapore where it's all about outdoor street vendors of simple, tasty and cheap eats. Having wanted some malaysian for a while, this would be the place to try.

Hawkers
The entrance of hawkers, a nice and bright red that stands out from those around it. Definitely a lot smaller than expected.

Hawkers
With a bar-like setup (not ideal for large groups), it's perfect for a quick and simple meal. Some nice chandeliers hanging in the middle of the restaurant bar to add a few nice touches.

Hawkers
Nothing fancy with the layout, but nice service. Still not the most comfortable place to be, on bar stools... but you'd hope the food makes up for it!

Fresh Popiah Rolls
Fresh popiah rolls with veges. Probably my least favourite starter compared to the other options, mainly due to the ingredients? I did like the popiah skin.

Satay Bean Curd
Satay bean curd. Two generous sized portions of deep fried tofu with satay sauce. A lot more than expected for a starter but can't really complain. I could just eat snacks all day long I'm sure!

Roti
Their famous version of roti. Thin and crispy style that was more of a pancake.

Plum Wine
Plum wine served in an actual wine glass. Wasn't really a selection of choices, but with a generous serving to make up for it =)

Drunken Noodles with Duck
Drunken noodles with duck. The recommendation that the waitress provided me and it definitely was the thing to go for! One thing that has been consistent is the generous sized servings. After all the starters, I was definitely struggling to finish this.

This place is definitely a go to... especially for a quick satisfying meal. If you can even make it for happy hour, with the cheap drinks and snacks - I'm sure I'd be there quite often!
